I'm a contemporary mixed media artist. I combine painting and sewing techniques to create lightly textured watercolor landscapes, abstracts, collages, and textile pieces.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My art pieces are expressions of my time spent immersed in nature where I find my inspiration.
The process begins outside… a hike in the woods, a wade in the river, or a beach stroll; exploring each environment in a state of wonder and curiosity, with a desire to retain those experiences through my art. My goal is to capture the essence of place to create art pieces which allow the viewer to see nature and the environment in a fresh way.
